Yes, by default. "Keep my furniture" locks every piece in place and only changes decor, textiles, wall colour and lighting. In our test renders, sofas, tables and even the mugs on them stayed in their exact positions.
Yes. Brush over the area you want changed and only that region is redrawn. Everything outside your selection stays identical to your photo. Area editing costs 1 extra credit (3 total instead of 2).
Very. We measured it: asking for hex #3D5A47 (Deep Sage) produced a wall that averaged #3E5742, a colour distance of 1.3%. That is why we offer 24 named paint tones instead of an RGB slider.
RoomMakeover runs on OpenAI’s gpt-image-2 image editing model (documented at platform.openai.com), steered by our own room-preservation prompting layer. A standard render takes about 30 seconds.
No. We benchmarked the model’s quality tiers on identical rooms: the expensive tier cost 12.6× more but scored no better on detail in 2 of 3 tests. Every render, free or paid, uses the same best setting.
Nothing is deducted. Credits are only spent on renders that actually come back. This is enforced in our billing code, not just promised.
